Get Involved

POSTER GUIDELINES

  • Maximum size of 4 feet by 4 feet;

 

  • We encourage students to print their posters at “Save on Stich(please contact Sulin Cao at sulincao1982@gmail.com BY MARCH 9th). As participants of the 2016 BIG Research day, students will get the following deals: 40×40 inches size poster is $70 (waterproof paper) or $85 (waterproof wrinkle free fabric). For students in the Bioinformatics Program, please specify this and the final bill will be sent to the program directly. Posters will be delivered directly to the venue on March 11th).

 

  • Presenters will be assigned to present their posters in one of two sessions;

 

  • Posters will be judged and prizes* will be awarded to the top posters overall;

 

  • Please setup posters upon arrival and remove them after the day has ended;

 

 

* Presence at the prize ceremony at the end of the day

Register to attend any of our activities, submit an abstract to present a poster about your research, give a talk in our "tools for grad school" workshop or help the organizing team in making this event a success.

  • If you're a student of the BIOF, GSAT or IOP program:

 

Be sure to register before Friday, February 26th to help us best plan for the event.

 

Note: 

  • all BIOF, IOP, GSAT students are required to attend the event;

  • students in their 2nd year and above are also required to sign up for a poster presentation.

 

 

 

  • If you aren't a student of the BIOF, GSAT or IOP program:

 

 

 

We would like to restrict this event to students of the above mentioned programs only.

However, if you'd like to attend our talks, you can register here indicating that you're part of another program. We will get back to you closer to the date of the event to confirm your seat (not guaranteed).

 

Note: we cannot provide lunch for external students, nor they can present posters and/or win prices.

POSTER SESSION REGISTRATION

 

If you're a 2nd year (or above) student of the BIOF, GSAT or IOP program, you're required to present a poster about your research.

 

  • Please make sure to register (see above) before you proceed to submit the abstract;

  • Use this form to submit your abstract by Friday, February 26th;

  • Indicate full author list (separated by commas).

  • Please restrict abstracts to maximum 1400 characters (without spaces).

 

Please, refere to this sample for the format.
